London ONS Meeting 2 December 2000

      

There will be an Indian Coin Study Day on the above date at the Coin and Medal Department of the British Museum, from 11.00-16.00.        The subject will be Indian Numismatics and Religion.        So far the following talks have been announced:        Shailendra Bhandare: The representation of a river goddess on ancient Indian coins        Marzbeen Toddywalla: Zoroastrianism and representation of gods on Kushan coins        Joe Cribb: Unorthodox Muslim cons from mediaeval Sind        There will be time for probably three other talks so anyone interested in presenting one that relates to the overall subject or who would like additional information should contact Joe Cribb at the British Museum via e-mail jcribb@british-museum.ac.uk.
